Artist Statement
Davonte "Davo" Bradley is an artist who makes art on a computer (most of the time) and identifies as a Techspressionist (Tech + Expressionism). He uses special programs to make pictures that don't look like real things (also most of the time). Davo believes that everyone should be able to heal from the bad things in their past and look forward to a happy future. And he helps himself and others do this by making sure to have fun while he's creating art and not being too serious while expressing his past, present, and future emotions. He wants to help people keep hope alive, even when it's tough because he's gone through the process himself.
I've been making art for a long time, and I've been using a computer to make art for half of that time. I didn't go to school to learn how to make art, but I always wanted to. When the world got sick and everything changed, I realized I should follow my dream and make art full-time.
In this art gallery, you can see different types of art that I made on the computer. They are all different colors and shapes. Some are black and white, some are geometric, some are made to make you feel something, and many aren't but still resonate on some level. It's not like I just press a button and the art appears, I use special tools like a tablet and digital paint and brushes to create my art. Each artwork has a story to tell, some are happy, some are sad, but you can tell by looking at it.. Or maybe not.
Different people see different things in my art, almost like they're looking at clouds. And as a result, the same work can resonate with two people in two completely different ways. And I always look forward to hearing about all those different ways my work has made an impact.
